Dear Friends, There is a Bushing that sits on the end of the 4 speed (in my case) Shifter located inside the VW Fox. When that busing and spacer wears out the Shifting pattern will be excessively sloppy even if you just installed a complete set of the other shift bushings that typically comes in a kit. Dear Friends, Hope all is well... I have been hearing a rattling like sound on the drivers side that seems to be coming from the Steering Gearbox area.. which is located up against the firewall. The noise is non existent on nice flat surfaces, but when you hit small or larger bumps in the road/when your turning/while backing up you are likely to hear it. Dear Friends, I'm having a go around trying to get my Fox so that it will start, idle and run smoothly. The timing belt and pulley was just replaced. Timing was checked and rechecked. A mechanic replaced the fuel filter which I initially provided. But this Fox had black rubber hoses and clamps and required a different filter. It was replaced and the Fox will not start and run like it was before...
